Departments
Istanbul University Oncology Institute provides multidisciplinary health care service to patients with cancers from diagnosis to treatment and to follow-up with different departments:
1. basic oncology
2. medical oncology
3. pediatric oncology
4. surgical oncology
5. radiology
Basic Oncology:
 Hematology, biochemistry, sedimentation and marker examinations are applied on auto-analyzers at laboratories in Basic Oncologic Science. PCR equipment, research microscopes, Laminar Flow,Co2 incubators, Video Gel documentation system and Hybridization Ovens are available at our laboratories.
Medical Oncology:
Anually, 60.000 patients are on follow-ups and under treatment.Consultation and treatment can be provided to oncologic patients at the service with 53 beds, which are exclusive for oncologic patients. Services also include inpatient treatment at child patient service and outpatient chemotherapy application for adult patients.
Pediatric Oncology:
 Children and adolescents have their own physicians, nurses and facilities that allow them to get everything they need in one family-centered, child-oriented area. 250 pediatric patients refer to the institute annually.
Surgical Oncology:
Our surgical unit has two operating rooms which are fully equipped with endoscopic surgical equipment, liposuction aspirator, rectoscopy and laparoscopy, among others.
Radiology:
Target volume delineation is defined consultating with the Radiology Department of the institue when needed.
