Istanbul University Oncology Institute Radiation Oncology Department aims to work as the most comprehensive facility of its kind in Turkey. Specially trained radiation oncologists and physicist are skilled in standard and emerging treatments including brachytherapy, 3-D conformal radiation therapy and intensity- modulated raidation therapy (IMRT) .
An average of 350 patients undergoes radiotherapy every day .The department is the only reference center in Istanbul faciliated to treat pediatric patients. 250 pediatric patients refer to the institute annually.
